Field types

A field's type decides what it holds and how you fill it in. The type is chosen when the field is added and can't be changed afterwards.

Multi-Line Text Longer text over several lines — access instructions, a description Type it; press Enter for a new line, click away to save
Number A number — an age in years, a count Type it
Currency An amount of money, in the currency chosen for the field Type the amount

Actions and layout

Type What it does
Button Runs an automation for the client — see Button fields
Heading A title that groups the fields below it
Spacing Empty space between fields
Horizontal Line A dividing line between fields

Headings, spacing and lines hold no value, so they don't appear in the Clients table, filters, exports or bulk edit. Attachment and button fields can't be bulk edited.

Contacts and custom tables

Contact custom fields and custom table columns use most of the same types.
